In the month following the devastation of superstorm Sandy, longtime vendor and neighborhood fave Red Hook Lobster Pound has been hard at work repairing the tanks, floors, walls, vehicles, and food truck at their Van Brunt St. flagship in an effort to get back on their feet. (The Times will also be there video-documenting the return, but in the meantime, check out this story.) Now you can add another option to the list of potential rewards you’ll earn after a few hours of aerobic browsing and stair-climbing—not to mention the fact that by devouring your delicious buttery seafood sandwich, you’re also helping our water-logged friends get back on their land legs.
