Finally a bit of good storm-week news! Miraculously, all three market sites survived Sandy just fine, which means that both Fleas and both Smorgs will be open as usual this weekend.

If like us you’re going stir-crazy with the Twitter and the Internets and the cooped-up kids and the daytime drinking and the lack of social structure, well, hopefully the Flea will be a nice place to gather for some good ole-fashioned human interaction. The sun should be shining, the vibes should be heightened, and the power will be on.

To get there, the East River Ferry will be running on a “standard” schedule all weekend, with its regular stops at both Brooklyn Bridge Park/DUMBO and North 6th St./Williamsburg. (Note: Ferry service ends at 6pm both days, and the Greenpoint/India St. and South W’burg stops are not operational this weekend.) Of course you can also still walk, bike, or drive. The 4/5 train to Borough Hall is your best subway option to DUMBO, but still no L train service.

(Oh, did you see us in the Times last weekend? Big!)
